Facebook's new Notify app is shaping the way consumers process information. With instant access to read, share and comment on news delivered to a phone's lock screen, Notify users only need one app for final scores, weather forecasts, movie times, breaking news and more.   



Notify users remain fully immersed in the Facebook universe, keeping them susceptible to ad content and allowing Facebook to track actions that more effectively target advertising.  Mobile makes up more than 75% of Facebook's ad revenue, and Notify places Facebook front and center on users' mobile screens. Plus, the app will be preloaded onto iOS devices which streamlines access to the tool.






With Notify, users opt into content that interests them and can choose to follow general "stations" of information from partner content providers like CNN, Vogue, Fox Sports, Fandango and The Weather Channel. Updates are provided through simple to select and browse alerts. Notify also uses personal Facebook profile and search history to suggest news and alerts that might interest subscribers.  






If you aren't advertising on Facebook, you may be missing an essential part of your marketing mix for reaching users 25+. The marketing funnel from your page directly to consumer seems to be shrinking every day. Facebook continues to limit the access businesses have to users through page posted content.
